Committees & Responsibilities
We need volunteers to fill committee posts. Hamel Baseball is an all volunteer organization--we need your help to ensure a great experience for the kids.

Special Opportunity Feb. 25:  Join us to sort and count uniforms on Monday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. in the garage of Hamel's Community Center.

Board

• Create the mission for the league
• Establish regular communication to parents, coaches, sponsors & the community
• Create a new website - do ourselves or contract out to handle various functions
• Work with the city of Medina to best serve the league

• Determine the optimal number of players at the various levels
• Create a plan to hit the enrollment numbers through direct mail, PR, and other areas
• Handle the sign up process including possible on-line or outsourcing

• Determine what is needed and make sure it is on hand when needed
• Work with coaches throughout the year to ensure they have what they need
• Work with coaches and coordinators at the end of the year to get needed equipment returned
• Create a master plan on major equipment needed including a timeline and budget (scoreboards, lights, etc)

• Make sure the fields are in playing condition including toilet facilities
• Ensure the needed umpires are lined up
• Handle staffing for concession stands (food and workers)

• Establish a budget for the league
• Work with the various existing organizations on what is needed from the league
• Work with local companies for sponsors and gifting from individuals or other organizations
• Ensure that all events are properly staffed
• Review new opportunities as they arise

• Determine how many coaches and assistant coaches are needed and line them up
• Create a common strategy and expectations for all coaches through training or meetings
• Create expectations for players at the various levels
• Organize training for the players at the beginning of the year
