Trying to register w/volunteer - volunteer page doesn't work
Question/Comment:

Thanks for solving my log-in problem. I tried to register last night, but the payment page wasn't working.

today, I tried again and the payment page seems fine, however, this time, I cannot sign up to volunteer (similar to Tina H.'s challenge in 1/30 emails.) My husband would very much like to volunteer (field maintenance) but I can't make it work. I do not want to wait too long to register, but I'm afraid if I pay the $20 fee and don't get signed up to volunteer now, it'll be too late.

Please let me know when the volunteering part is working and hopefully we'll get our registration done soon.

Thanks!

105 people have successfully volunteered.  What goes wrong when you try?

Thanks,

Thanks for getting back to me.. but I am STILL having problems with the volunteering section of the web site. As I said before, it seems to be the same problem that Tina H. noted in late January. To summarize:

* I go to register and it asks for donation, I hit proceed.

* I go to Volunteering and it doesn't give any option EXCEPT $20 fee. There is no drop-down menu for volunteering.

* I hit Proceed and the next page says "thank you for volunteering" and the registration continues and at the end, I am left to either pay $20 and not volunteer, or not register.

So far, I have chosen to not register and thus have contacted you for help.

But, I would still like to register AND volunteer. I do not doubt that 155 people have done so successfully, and actually wondered if your volunteer slots were full and thus that was the reason for my troubles. But, a few days ago, I did make it through the volunteer page just fine so I know it worked recently (at that time, it was just the payment page that didn't work.)

So, please let me know if 1) volunteering options are not available in which case I'll pay the $20 that's being required on the site 2) I should try to do this over the phone instead (so I don't miss a spot) 3) there is something in the site that can/should be fixed and if so, when it is fixed, so I can register online.

Thanks so much.

OK.  Tina H had a different issue.  It appears that your issue is that on 2/17 someone attempted to register using your Pin and they did submit a volunteer record.  However, they did not complete the process of registering and therefore never actually registered and paid for a player. The system is programmed to ask a person once for volunteering.  On 2/17 it was indicated that Tad wants to volunteer for Field Maintenance.  To allow you to submit another volunteer request, I will go delete the first one right now.  Please go ahead and register your player, you will be asked to volunteer again.  If you wish to volunteer for Field Maintenance again and for coaching, please do so.

Thanks,

OK... getting closer but still not 100%.

Now I am able to volunteer, but when it's time to pay, it still charges the $20 maintenance fee. Any way to get rid of that since we are volunteering.

Thanks for your prompt reply/help on this...,

Everybody pays the Field Maintenance Fee.  Please see the red text on that page as you register.  It says that families who volunteer and actually perform to that commitment will get a $20 gift card at the end of the season.  At registration time, everybody pays the $20.  If you have further questions about the maintenance fee, please contact the board.  We simply provide the website.
